SEMI-AUTOMATED HARVEST SCALE SYSTEM FOR HAND-HARVESTING PRODUCE

Are you overpaying your harvesting crew? In “Paying Fruit Pickers Per Pound” (2013), Growing Produce reported that one grower overpaid his pickers by almost $20,000 one week because bucket weight totals for blueberries (estimated) exceeded warehouse weight (actual) by 40,000 pounds. With the FairPick Lite system, accurate pick weights could result in significant payroll savings for growers.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need Wi-Fi or cellular service to use the FairPick Lite system?

The FairPick Lite can run all day without being connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network. The RHC requires either a Wi-Fi internet connection, or additional cellular data package with SIM card, to upload harvest data to the secure server at the end of the day.

2. What happens when the battery dies during harvest?

The battery on the FlexHub powers the FlexHub components and scale and is designed to last a full day of harvest. The battery in the RHC can be easily swapped with a fully-charged battery out in the field. Additional batteries for the RHC can be purchased separately.

3. Is there a subscription fee for the software?

There is a small annual license fee per FairPIck Lite system that includes data storage and automatic software upgrades. Included in the license is unlimited access to your uploaded data on your company's Customer Portal account with standard Daily and Pay Period Reports. Ask us about the Custom Reports we offer and what we can build for you. We can save you time and the headache of doing payroll and managing data.

4. How many FairPick Lite's do I need?

Each FairPIck Lite system accommodates approximately 10-50 pickers depending on your harvesting process. It only takes a few seconds for a Picker to weigh a container of produce. It's fast. We recommend one FairPick Lite package per crew to eliminate Picker travel time to the unit.

5. Is the data compatible with my payroll software?

Download harvest data from your Customer Portal account in CSV (comma seperated values) format. Import CSV files into Microsoft Excel and most accounting/payroll software packages.

7. How much does the system cost?
